The overall questions and stars in this review do not adequately reflect the experience and should be changed. The overall reviews for this medical centre are good but they mostly come from 2019 (pre-Covid) and do not reflect the most recent reality.
The staff are certainly competent and polite. However, the biggest problem with this place are TIMELY APPOINTMENTS. We had to visit the GP 5 times in the last year because our little children were not well. We have always arrived ahead of time but we have NEVER been seen on time. During our first appointment we had to wait to see a doctor for 30 minutes. The second time it was 45 minutes. Last three times it was 1h! This is totally unacceptable. This is NOT a busy place if you compare it with London Boroughs. We have previously lived in different places in London and, once appointment was given for a specific time, the average waiting time was 5 minutes.
Moreover, people are asked to wait in a closed waiting room where unwell people are coughing and sneezing, and the reception does not monitor whether the windows are closed or open (most of the time they are closed every single time we are there).
Same day only appointments are very disruptive to people in full time work or education, and mean you have to stay home on the chance you might get an appointment. In the event you can't, you Ave unnecessarily disrupted work
The doctor we saw was brilliant
All staff are helpful, caring and approachable. I could not wish for better care. A beacon for the NHS.
Thank you all sincerely
Doctor took time to explain why investigations were necessary and the treatment he was prescribing leading to confidence in the potential result.
Quite exceptional care given to my elderly mother, who has always been anxious about going to the doctor and is always reluctant to go. The kind care and attention that she told me she received from Dr Sarah Murray was quite exceptional.
